On June 9th more than 100 Fusion FC girls, parents & coaches enjoyed the first Girl Talk night with guest speaker, Coach Denise Schilte-Brown, USF Women’s Head Coach.

Coach Denise shared with everyone from her personal experiences as a coach, as well as her years as a player, about what it takes to be a USF college player and touched on many important topics like: fitting in and dealing with social pressures, time management, keeping up with class work, nutrition and fitness, mental toughness and working on your game. There was also a great discussion about parental support in the development of female soccer players.

We look forward to continuing this great relationship with USF soccer. Thanks Coach Denise!  There is so much to learn! Also, look for information soon about the USF 2009 season schedule so we can get out there and support the USF teams. Go Bulls!!  The next Girl Talk soccer date will be posted soon.
