The Fusion Futbol Club 2011-2012 season will include a Recreational Academy for U5, U6, U7 & U8.   This Academy format is supported by the Florida Youth Soccer Association and the US National Coaching Staff. The academy is available for all U5, U6, U7, and U8 recreational players.  Please view the individual age group information pages by clicking on the corresponding links in the left margin.  There is one for each Developmental Academy age group.
 
The overall philosophy of the Academy is to develop the players first.  Both in training and games the coaching staff will be focused on making a player more competent on the field and not focused on winning and losing games. 

In the Academy approach, there are no teams in the traditional sense.  Each week players will train with groups that will help them develop certain skills and abilities. Players will be required to use the skills and concepts worked on in training to achieve those goals during the game.  The U5s will train before their games on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. The U6s will train on every other Friday at 5:30 p.m., in addition to activities and games on Saturdays at 10:15 a.m.  U7s will train on Monday or Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., in addition to activities and games on Saturdays at 11:45 a.m. U8s will train on Monday or Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., in addition to activities and games on Saturdays at 1:15 p.m.

A mandatory parent information meeting will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Benito Middle School (U5 at 9:00, U6 at 9:45, U7 at 10:30, and U8 at 11:00)  We will go over scheduling and the academy philosophy.
