Roland has a diverse and extensive soccer background. He played all age levels in 1986 until 1995 for F.C. Universitatea Cluj and participated in international tournaments in France, Holland and Hungary.  From 1995 to 1997 Roland was also a 1st and Reserve 2nd division professional player (2nd place National Soccer Championship under 18 division in 1995).  He earned his BS degree in Physical Education and Sports in 2002 at the University of Babes-Bolyai, Cluj-Napoca in Romania and complete his master’s degree in 2009.  Roland currently has a Romanian Soccer Federation category 3 coaching license, a US Soccer National B license, and a CPR/First Aid Certification.  His teams were champions of Regional Super Club in 2005, U14 CDL in 2006 and U15 CDL in 2007.  Roland had spent five yeas with the Former Black Watch and four years as head coach of the former Black Watch Falkirk team. The Falkirk (in 2009-2010 season known as the Fusion FC U17b Blue) has achieved many accolades these past years that include league championships, advancements to the FYSA State Cup Final Four & Finalists (see below), as well as, numerous tournament trophies.  Roland is known for his ability to develop soccer players.  Several of his players have achieved US Men’s National Team and Regional and State ODP team recognition.
