As a non-profit youth soccer club with 1,500 players, much of the success of our club is attributable to great volunteers. Throughout each season there are various volunteer opportunities for parents and older teenages. Below is the list of those opportunieis. Check back often to find new ways to help. Concession Volunteers needed at Benito and 30th St.: 4 (four) hour shift
Recruit team volunteers to assist with working the concession stand & selling tee-shirts. Probably best to recruit a team /teams playing at these sites.
Field Marshall Volunteers needed at Benito, New Tampa and 30th St. 4(four) hour shift
Recruit Field Marshalls (FM) - get a commitment from volunteers for 4 hour shifts and field marshals will receive training this year. FM “Vest” will be provided. If we will be using the track at Benito, 2 FMs are needed because you can not see the track at all from the lower fields.
Finance Coordinator – Tournament Accounting: income/exp report
Calculate ref cash in proper denominations, place order with bank & pick up cash. Prepare ref envelopes labels (1 per game). Stuff ref envelopes.
T-Shirt Sales - we have process and form samples from last year
Create tournament tee-shirt order form; Post pre-order form on website; Contact tournament teams to promote pre-orders; Collect t-shirt pre-orders/payments; Distribute t-shirts pre-orders at team check-in
Facilities Assistant @ Benito, New Tampa and 30th St.
Lining Fields & Trash Clean-Up
Schedule Manager – create game schedule using Got Soccer
Submit completed schedule to tournament dir & other key people for review; Submit approved schedule to ref assignor; Run ref fee calculator to determine total $ to order in what denominations – give to finance.
Team Check-In Manager - This will be held Friday night – circa 4pm – 10:00pm
Reserve room @ host hotel – confirm room; Coordinate additional items needed at check-in; Recruit GREETERS & volunteers for check-in; Check set-up – tables/etc, copy machine/paper, etc.; Order cookies/water bottles (maybe the hotel will donate?).
Safety/Medical Manager
Gather donations from local businesses/hospitals for first aid kits; Provide at team check-in for each site - a key contact sheet that includes: site physical address for 991 calls; telephone number of nearest hospital/walk-in clinics; Notify local police/fire rescue nearest each site of tournament being held Labor Day.
Volunteer Manager
Coordinate main list of all volunteers – who, what, when & where; provide to Director of Tournament, Site Directors and Concession & Facilities Managers; Assist in recruiting team volunteers to assist with working the concession stand & tee-shirts sales. Suggest using a specific team assigned to play at that location – this is critical to ensure volunteers SHOW UP; Assist in recruiting the Field Marshals (FM) - need a commitment from volunteers for 4 hour shifts and field marshals will receive training this year. FM “Vest” will be provided.
