Our Mission

What We Stand For

Fusion FC is a soccer academy and club that combines the best of American soccer with the best of Spanish possession futbol. Our coaches from Spain emphasize keeping the ball by making quick and smart decisions. That process is reflected in our training sessions at the academy age level. We will grow our players and teams to compete by possessing the ball and playing soccer the right way. We strongly believe that our family comes first and our players, parents and stakeholders make up the Fusion FC family.

Our vision

We Are Providing an Environment for Our Players to Grow & Excel

Our vision to see all the players develop from the academy with a strong understanding of possession soccer so that as they progress in their career, they have the foundational skills and knowledge to compete at the highest level. Our players will be part of a growing professional organization that continues to grow and improve at all levels. We will have top teams in North Texas and beyond as our methodology produces results that will set us apart. The coaching staff will model and grow professionally so that our youngsters can see what it is like to be part of a professional organization.

“Born and raised in Spain, I grew up in a family passionate about soccer, our national pastime. I started playing organized soccer on Las 300, a local team, at the age of 7.

At 10, I switched to Cacereno Atletico, an academy team and was made team captain for the next 2 years. As one of the top midfielders of my region I was then recruited by Escuela de Futbol Veracruz where I spent the next 4 years.  Later, I played at Club San Francisco and Cacereno.

By High School I was invited to represent Extremadura, my region of origin in Spain.

After graduating from High School, I decided to pursue a college education in physical education so I could combine my passion for soccer with my desire to teach.

In 2005 I completed my studies and became a certified Physical Education teacher. Throughout my studies I continued playing on various amateur soccer teams in my home town Caceres and later also in Madrid. After meeting my wife and moving to Puerto Rico in 2014,  I even joined Korichancha Hatillo FC, in the first division as a player-coach.”

“Chris grew up in Huntington Beach CA playing select soccer. He was Defensive Player of the Year and his jersey #19 was retired at Mater Dei High School. He went on to receive a full ride scholarship to Cal State Fullerton where he played as a center back and defensive center midfielder. He is happily married and lives in Fort Worth, TX.”

-Chris Mastropaolo

“I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. I started playing organized soccer at age 5 in Salesianos Estrecho, my school team. Two years later, I switched to CD San Miguel, where I played four years of Futsal and Fut7 during my formative years. At the age of 11, I passed the tryouts for Atletico de Madrid, where I played in the U12 team. I continued playing for regional clubs until college, where I played for URJC during three years in which I also completed my studies on Education. After a formative period in London, I kept playing for Cantera FC and several clubs in Madrid until I moved to Texas to continue my educational career while playing recreational soccer.

As for my coaching experience, I trained U6&U8 teams for CD San Miguel during two seasons, after which I moved to Coami to train U8, U10 & U12 clubs. After moving to Texas, I got my U6 to U13+ U.S. Soccer Coaching Certifications and started working as an Assistant Coach in ILTexas Keller for the Middle School Soccer Team.

I’m very pleased to continue my coaching career in Fusion FC and combining two of my biggest passions: soccer and education. I truly believe in the personal development of players, and it is my goal to make them not only outstanding players but exceptional people with a strong mind, body and character.”
