The professional soccer team, the Tampa Bay Rowdies, are back! The original Rowdies were a professional team established 1975 in Tampa. Three of our very own Fusion FC coaches were Rowdies players: Steve Wegerle, Winston DuBose & Alan Anderson. The team was initially founded as a North American Soccer League expansion franchise by George Strawbridge. The team played ten seasons at Tampa Stadium, “The Big Sombrero”, and won their only Soccer Bowl championship in their inaugural season defeating the Portland Timbers 2-0. The original Rowdies did great things off the field as well. They ran youth clinics and had player appearances for the local youth soccer clubs and were great teachers of the game. Now, the Rowdies want to continue to cultivate their impact on the soccer community in Tampa Bay.

The Fusion FC will be able to offer to all its Fusion FC members, players, coaches, families and friends the opportunity to purchase Rowdies game tickets at a discounted day of the game ticket price (below face value ticket price)! We have reserved 200 lower level tickets for the Rowdies’ home opener on May 8, available to purchase immediately! Fusion has also reserved 16 VIP season tickets. These VIP seats will be located in a private section of the Tribune Club Deck. Purchasing these seats will get you into an exclusive autograph session after each game that will only be available to the VIP ticket holders. Also the Fusion FC has the unique opportunity to offer the Season Ticket (15 home games) for the Tampa Tribune Club Deck Picnic Tables to its Fusion FC Members!
For every ticket sold, Fusion FC will receive a fundraising contribution! We are strong believers that the best teacher of the game is the game itself. We encourage all of the Fusion players and families to watch live matches. By having a professional soccer team in Tampa, we have the ability to watch the great game of soccer on a regular basis throughout the summer months.
